How To Help

The Christmas Support Network can only help with the generous support of the community.  If you would like to help in some way, thank you!  You have many options to choose from.

I would like to volunteer

Kitchener-Waterloo

House of Friendship:

Due to the structural program changes, there is a significant reduction in the number of volunteer opportunities available for both individuals and groups. There will no longer be delivery driver or on-site volunteer opportunities throughout the first weeks of December at either the Food Bank of Waterloo Region or the Saint Vincent De Paul (SDVP) distribution sites.

The volunteers that regularly volunteer within our food programs, along with our staff, and additional leadership volunteers will be supporting this new approach to getting people food for Christmas.

If you would like to get involved year-round as a volunteer, we encourage you to apply by visiting www.houseoffriendship.org/volunteer.

How can you continue to support House of Friendship’s mission?

There are plenty of ways you can continue to support our programs during this time or year-round, such as:

  • Volunteering year-round in one of our programs or at our other special events!
  • Donating to help ensure programs have the resources needed to meet growing demand. You can find out more about how to do so through visiting our website.
  • Spreading the word so more people know about our services, mission and ways to help!

Every act of support helps us build a healthier community where all can belong and thrive.
